Regular MoneySaver Shirley Balcon, from Ashby De La Zouch in Leicestershire, loves her beauty products just like any other woman.
But instead of paying the going rate at her local chemist or department store she makes body scrubs, hair tonics and face toners with some basic raw materials that most of us have lying around in our homes.
For example, she makes an exfoliating scrub from brown granulated sugar and olive oil. The mixture's quite easy to conjure up, as she simply fills a jar with sugar up to the three quarter mark, then pours the oil on top until the sugar's covered, mixes it with a spoon and puts the lid on.
If you want a posh version, Shirley reckons you can replace the olive oil with avocado or sweet almond oil. For the basic sugar scrub recipe it costs her £5 for eight small jars, which would normally retail for £5 each, saving her £35.
