50% off home insurance at Tesco
If you need to sort your home insurance within the next three months, get a quote from Tesco now as it's offering 50% off – but only until 5 March.
As the quote's valid for 90 days, even if your insurance isn't due for another three months you can still take advantage of this offer.
Tesco may not be cheapest for everyone so after getting your half price quote use the insurance comparison services to determine if Tesco's policy is the most competitive; if not, go for the alternative.
To compare and switch insurance provider, read Martin's full Home Insurance article.
Discounted stamps at Superdrug
Stamps are going up in price from 7 April but you can beat the rise by getting your stamps from Superdrug.
For the next few weeks you can get a book of six first-class stamps for £1.94 instead of the usual £2.04. And as long as the stamps say 'first' rather than having a cost printed (e.g. 34p) then even when stamp prices go up they'll still be useable as first-class stamps. Thus, if you're a big Royal Mail user, there isn't a problem stocking up on them and using them years later.
Two free tickets at Alton Towers if you buy The Sun
Two £25 tickets to Alton Towers can be yours for a spend of just £2.45 (or £1.40 if you live in London). The Sun newspaper is giving away a pair of tickets to Alton Towers if you get your hands on seven different copies of the paper by 6 March and collect the tokens inside, which can then be swapped for the tickets. As each copy of The Sun costs 20p in London or 35p outside, the most you'll have to pay is £2.45 - a fraction of the usual cost.
Unfortunately there are a few provisos; you must get the application form that's only printed in the Wed 27 Feb edition, you must apply by 10 March, and you don't get to choose the day you go. Tickets are sent on a first come, first served basis.
Complete details and more information on cut price days out is included in the MoneySaving Tickets To Zoos & Theme Parks Forum note.
