New best 0% purchase credit card
Barclaycard's just launched the top 0% card for spending, on its Breathe card, though unfortunately existing Barclaycard customers aren’t eligible. This is NOT a balance transfer card but one that charges no interest for a year on your purchases.
While this is a good deal, with recession looming, borrowing is a bad idea and should be absolutely minimised. However if you need to borrow and there's no alternative, a card like this means you won't pay any interest in the short term.

Money-off at Waitrose
Until Sunday, use the code Save77 for online supermarket Waitrose Deliver, its local delivery service, and you’ll get £15 off a £75 spend, though there is a delivery fee.

Potential relief for Icesave customers
Savers with money in Icesave, which was declared in default this month, have been told they're likely to get their money back by the end of November. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has said it will start the process of reuniting savers with their cash from next Monday. And remember, you’ll be compensated even if you had more than £50,000 in.

Superdrug delivers a top deal
High street chemist Superdrug is offering 5% off first-class stamps. The great thing is these are inflation proof because, as long as they say '1st' on them, rather than the price, you can still use them in, say, 20 years! And as they’re unlikely to ever be cheaper, stock up now.
Driving a good bargain
If you're looking for breakdown cover there are two good AA deals at the moment. Cashback sites fans can get a £17 refund on a £29 annual membership fee through cashback site Quidco.com, which brings the cost down to just £12. Though do be aware cashback sites can never 100% guarantee the cashback.
Alternatively, if you shop at Marks & Spencer's, you can get a £20 M&S voucher by taking out AA membership direct from the AA, although it lists its cheapest policy as £35, not £29 like Quidco. Yet with the £20 voucher, this still brings the true cost down to only £15.
