Nab a men's two-piece suit for £15

Pop into Asda before Sunday 20th January and you'll be able to pick up a men's jacket and trousers suit for just £15. You'll have to be quick as there's only 60,000 on the rails (distributed across all stores nationwide that have a George clothing department) and they're likely to fly out by the weekend. As Mr Ford once said – they’re available in colour, so long as it’s black.

Full details of this deal are available in the Asda £15 Suits note.

Grab free ID fraud protection

Anyone worried about ID fraud can have protection for free by getting a Capital One credit card. The service is available on all of its cards where you get alerts if someone applies for credit using your name or if there's any other key changes to your credit report.

It's designed as an early warning system to stop anyone spending on a card or any other type of account in your name. When you get your Capital One card you’ll need to register for the service but, wonderfully, you pay nothing for it. Other similar schemes cost £60 per year.

And Capital One has some very good cards. One handy piece of plastic in its range gives you 4% cashback on purchases for three months. So for every £100 you spend you’ll get £4 back. After three months any spends will earn 1% cashback.

Save £100s on the price of laser eye surgery

Here’s a real eye-catching tip that allows you to save hundreds on the price of laser eye surgery if you don’t quite have perfect vision.

If you collect Tesco vouchers you can get Optimax eye surgery for £200 in vouchers which'll pay for £800 worth of treatment. This is because Tesco allows you to quadruple the value of the vouchers if you swap them for its ‘deal tokens’ which then enables you to choose from a range of packages that include holidays, eating out, and other deals.

If you don’t have Tesco vouchers, you can get a knock-down price at Optimax by buying from its eBay site. It often tries to flog any empty slots it has, say if someone has cancelled; and if you're going for advanced treatment you can sometimes get reductions of up to £800.

Martin's Loyalty Schemes guide is jam packed with full information on how to maiximise the benefits of all shopping reward schemes.

Print photos for free

If you’re one of the many with Christmas snaps waiting to be printed, there's no point in paying for them as you can often get it done for free. Many companies have incentive schemes where 40 to 50 free prints are offered to entice you to sign up to its service. Free prints are currently available at www.jessops.com and www.photobox.co.uk.

Read the Free Photos note for more ways to print snaps without needing to pay.

Taxing Times

And a timely reminder to get your self assessment tax form filled in, returned and any outstanding money paid before 31 January. If you were sent a tax return by the Revenue before 31 October '07 and you fail to send it back with any money owed, you’ll be fined £100 plus any interest on top.

For help with filling out your tax forms, read Martin's latest Taxing Times article.
