A beautiful saving

Wed 23rd January 2008

Trolley fukll of presents

Dawn Martin, from Christchurch on the South Coast, rarely has to buy beauty products any more as she gets them for nothing as a reward for testing them.

She thinks she only spends a maximum of £150 a year on beauty products as a result, when the average woman spends around £3,000.

Dawn also rakes in the cash by taking part in as many consumer surveys as she can in exchange for anything between 5p and £5 a time. It makes her approximately £300-350 a year for about 2 hours’ work per week.

In total, Dawn reckons she does a mixture of up to 60 surveys and product tests a month.

Not only does she save on beauty products but all the survey money she gets goes on Christmas presents – which she says virtually pays for her festive spending.
