Glynn, 49, from Preston, has entered and won a host of competitions since he retired from the police force early in 2007.

He not only enters competitions with prizes he or his family would want, but also contests where he can sell his winnings to boost his bank balance. In the last six months, he has won over £6,000 worth of prizes.

His biggest reward was the use of a Kia Cee’d car for a year through the Kia website. He’d normally have to pay £2,400 to have the vehicle for 12 months.

Glynn has also won a Kymco 50cc scooter that he sold back to the dealer for £1,000 and a 5* hotel stay in Malta.

He also won a co-drive in the ‘Race of Champions’ motorsport event that took place at the new Wembley Stadium in December with full VIP access to the drivers and hospitality. He describes that experience as “priceless”
