It’s not just our loyal viewers who've saved money by tuning into It Pays to Watch. Martin's also saved our army of celebrities thousands of pounds by showing them where to make the most of their hard-earned cash.
Many are good with money. Either they budget well or they don’t splash out on unnecessary items. But no-one has yet left the show with a clean bill of health as Martin's found they have a number of products that need ditching in favour of some better payers.
The most common theme running through the programmes has been the lack of cashback credit cards our celebs hold, which would literally pay them a percentage of what they spend on their plastic. Also, few have switched energy suppliers, while many have sky-high mobile phone bills.
At the top of the MoneySaving leaderboard (or should that be bottom?) is former British Olympic runner Iwan Thomas. Martin could save him at least £3,000 a year, mainly by cutting his exorbitant £200-a-month mobile phone bill.
Next up are style gurus Colin and Justin, who could be £1,700 better off a year between them by following Martin’s advice. The Apprentice’s Tre Azam is best with his money as Martin could only find £500 of savings each year.
Keep watching every Wednesday at 7.30pm on Five to find out how much Martin can save our celebs.
