Raef Bjayou

Wed 5th November 2008

Raef Bjayou made his name as a star on this year's series of The Apprentice.

He is also a TV reporter for Richard and Judy but is arguably most famous for insisting he can talk to both prince and pauper on Alan Sugar's hit show.

And that was the theme of Martin's Cash Quiz. To find out if Raef can tell the difference between Prince-like expensive High Street and supermarket goods or their cheaper versions.

Often, there is little difference between high-priced food or clothes and their slightly less pricey alternatives, which means people end up wasting money by paying over the odds.

We gave Raef supermarket-own mince pies and an expensive brand mince pie, some champagne and vintage cava, plus a 100% pashmina top and a part wool/part pashmina top.

In all three cases we disguised the items and asked Raef to guess which was which.

And he did well, guessing two out of three and doing enough to win a coveted Golden Piggy, though it wasn't without enough debate to prove it's often difficult to judge.
